Rachel Allen needs no introduction here on the BCS Blog! If you are reading this, you are undoubtedly already well aware who Rachel is and the essential role she plays here at Ballymaloe Cookery School.  Her particular style of cooking is a favourite with students, whether they meet her on a regular basis throughout our 12 Week Certificate course, or attend one of her very popular short courses. Her recent 2.5 day course - based on her latest cookery book, Rachel's Everyday Meals -was booked out weeks in advance and was one of our most energetic courses this year. The sun shone in Shanagarry for the duration of the course and there was a fantastic atmosphere among the attending class.

Now the author of 10 best-selling cook-books, her fans will be delighted to hear that her next book, All Things Sweet, is due for publication by Harper Non-Fiction on 28th August, 2014. This is a veritable treat for anyone with a sweet tooth or a penchant for decadence! Rachel takes us on a journey through 100 tantalizing recipes covering all manner of desserts, cakes, puddings, ice-creams and pastries - perfect for any occasion or just to self-indulge. (It's okay, we won't tell anyone...)

The book is packed with fuss-free, step-by-step techniques and Rachel’s signature finishing touches. The stunning photography alone will coax you into believing you can recreate her gorgeous dishes.

Of note for our U.K. readers, Rachel will be promoting her new book in the following locations in the coming months. Why not pop along to meet Rachel and finally get that signed copy for your kitchen bookshelf!
