 The most important aspect of any organic garden, the building and maintenance of soil fertility has to be taken seriously.

At the Ballymaloe Cookery School composting is at the heart of this process.

This course will cover the basics of composting and looking after the soil for all types of garden, whether edible or ornamental and whatever the size.

From building and managing a heap, learning what and what not to compost all the way to using the finished product in the garden. 

A full Lunch is included with this course

We understand that things can crop up and sometimes people have to cancel their place, we allow you to allocate your space to a friend or family member at no extra cost right up to the day of the course.
